First day in Roma

I made it to Roma. So far it's alright. Such a beautiful city! We got in around 9AM Rome time, so like 3AM at home, and I obviously didn't sleep much on the plane, the food was terrible. They then split us all up, I am on the other side of the Tiber River from the rest of the Northeastern Kids. My roommates seem really nice so far, but I wish I was closer to the other kids from Boston that I know because it is a decent walk away. My apartment is really close to the campus which is good, although I got lost on the way today.

I am so tired though, it has been almost 24 hours awake. We walked around so much today too, we saw the Trevi Fountain which was so pretty and other various Roman monuments. I'll put up some pictures as soon as I can.

Which brings my other disappointment. I don't have internet in my apartment, so it's really hard for me to talk to anyone from home because it costs so much to call home. So I am bummed about that. I can only access it if I am on campus or at someone's apartment. Hopefully we will get internet soon...but they don't make promises.

Anyways Rome it self is gorgeous. I can't get over the sites. Hopefully things start getting a little better and I get over  the first bit of culture shock soon. I am sure that once things start moving and I am busy things will look up, and I won't have time to be sad about no internet. :-) We are thinking of the beach Sunday (it is sooooo hot here!!) and We are currently in the works of planning a trip to Paris for next weekend. Keep following, I'll post as much as I can.

Miss everyone so much!
