Ciao! Sorry I have not been blogging as much lately it has been crazy here in Roma! So I have moved apartments since I blogged last. I now live next to the Vatican. It is beautiful and I love it, but much farther from Campus.
Last night was probably one of our best nights in Rome so far. We watched the World Cup Spain vs. Germany in Fifa Fan Park right in the middle of Rome! There were thousands of people all cheering it was so exciting to see their passion for the sport even when it is not their country in the finals. On the way home there were street parades and cheering just like the World Series Riots but civilized. We also went up to the Spanish Steps this week, which are so pretty at night. This city really is beautiful I could get used to living here...just need to work on my Italian and get used to this heat!
This weekend we are heading to the Almafi Coast, to escape the heat and see some more of Italy. Really excited. Except apparently there is a train strike so we are trying to scramble to leave tonight. It is a big mess, haha always an adventure. Hopefully I will have lots of pictures and stories of the Almafi Coast to share with everyone.
Things I have learned this week. Do not order an iced latte...you will get milk with ice in it, and never take more than €250 out of your bank at a time or you will have your account frozen. How I miss the ice coffees at home though, ice is a rare thing there, as is ordering tap water at a restaurant. I am getting sick of paying for bottled water when I go out to eat...wine is cheaper so that is usually my choice.

so love the adventures, take it all in ...more pictures please!
