Italian movies Mid-Terms and Jonsi.

Just finished my mid-terms today! It is nice to take a little break. I am going to take advantage of this weekend to completely relax in Beautiful Florence! It is our plan to see the churches, and she David statue, and probably the Palace that the Royal Family used to live in. It should be a great weekend I am very excited! Especially because next week I have to get serious about my classes again with a paper and a test due and finals coming up in just two weeks! Who knew studying abroad actually involved studying.

This week my roommate Chael and I went to see a singer named Jonsi in concert. Chael is a big fan and asked me to go along, and I am so glad I did. It was such an amazing show! The concert was at an outdoor theater in Rome and Jonsi was amazing. I now know why Chael loves his music so much! At the end of the show we were both just speechless.

My other new obsession of the week is watching Italian movies. In Italian class this week our teacher had us watch this movie called "Tre Metri Sopra il Cielo (Three Steps Over Heaven)" and ever since I have been hooked. The actor Ricardo Scamarico is basically like the Brad Pitt, or Robert Pattinson of Italy. Every girl here is in love with him...and for good reason! Today in class we watched the sequel to "Tre Metri Sopra il Cielo which is "Ho Voglia di te" and that was also good! So I went to the video store and purchased the two of them and another movie called "Meno Male Che Ci Sei" I am addicted. I am hoping it will help me pick up the language a little bit, so we will see if it works. Funny thing about Italian movies, or at least the three I have, is that they don't really have happy endings.

Well that is all for now. I am going to rest up and try to stay cool! It's off to Florence tomorrow bright and early! Can't wait to share my adventures from there with you all!

Ciao!
